My Story

The worlds of body, movement, science, and research have been a lifelong fascination for me. Two decades ago, I completed my PhD at LSE, shaping the foundation for my subsequent journey in academic research and teaching. Concurrently, my keen interest in the intricate connections between the body and the brain led me to dedicate years to exploring movement. In conjunction with my academic pursuits, I immersed myself in various realms of physical activity, undergoing professional training in aerobic and fitness coaching, Pilates, Aerial instruction, and more. This diverse approach equipped me with a comprehensive toolkit and practical expertise as a movement coach.

Some years ago, I suffered with persistent lower back pain which started from an injury. Despite seeking assistance from various specialists, including rehabilitation movement therapists, physiotherapists, masseuses, chiropractors, and orthopedists, the pain endured for weeks and transformed into months.

The doctors explained to me that the pain was the result of multiple protrusions and a very serious herniation in the intervertebral disc in my lower back. Between each vertebra in my lower back, there is an abnormal finding. My imaging showed scoliosis, narrowing of the spinal canal and other findings.

The experts told me to stop “raging,” that is, to stop doing the things I love (like running, .dancing, surfing)

Back surgery was also suggested as an uncertain remedy. In a state of weakness and despondency, I sought a solution until the transformative moment when I discovered Dr. John Sarno.

Combining insights from Sarno’s works, the work of his successors with my knowledge and professional experience in physical training and movement, I embarked on a unique journey. This amalgamation paved the way for healing my pain, transcending the ongoing agony, the frustration of managing it, and the disappointment of ineffective treatments. The scientifically proven approach guided me to reclaim a pain-free life, leading to the creation of the Fearless Movement method.

Now, as a practitioner of this method, I treat and coach pain sufferers, empowering them to release pain and experience safety in their bodies. Through unrestricted, fearless, and joyful movement, we work together to foster a sense of freedom.
